This blog is being used to provide supportive documentation for the book. The book is a science fiction novel about a society that parallels our own. Although some of the language may be a little different in spots you may also enjoy:
Self described as a ‘Christian, libertarian, environmentalist, capitalist, lunatic farmer,’ Joel is a living legend in the organic food world. Joel provides education and has created efficient working systems. He has published many books. If you have an interest in regenerative farming both his blog and the polyface farms website are good resources. https://www.polyfacefarms.com https://www.thelunaticfarmer.com
Many have used the work around mentioned in this article. It is legal in most places. I can’t speak to the practices of this individual, but the food handing practices for organic or naturally raised foods are generally way better than the usda standard when tested for contaminants. People that buy from them expect high quality and get it or they wouldn’t continue to buy.
The Dutch, Sri Lankans and others are feeling it too, if in a slightly different way. The articles by Tarl, Sky News and Russell are about why the Dutch farmers are protesting. Their viewpoints are libertarian, conservative and left leaning respectively.
Tarl aka Styx offers analysis based on personal experience, he is currently a resident. If you are upset by his handle and assume that he is a satanist you would be wrong, he was a satanist. He kept the name and uses it to filter out biased viewers. Joking aside he does have world views that I don’t agree with, but he offers reporting that the mainstream doesn’t.
Sky News offers the observation that this isn’t the only instance of this problem and interviews a leader of the industry in the Netherlands.
Russell offers a similar report and highlights some of the violence from both sides. He hosts an interesting interview that presents thought that you may not have run into before. The interviewee suggests a common sense solution to the problem.
I am less familiar with the next three presenters. Faran has been participating in some of the law-tube conversations, that is how she came into view. She offers more detail than legacy media as to why Sri Lanka is struggling. She is not unbiased and she is upset. The articles that she referenced are attached. I am unfamiliar with the news teams, though the articles seem to be worthy of review if you have the time. This looks to be part of one of her live streams that she made into a news report.
These are all at least partially opinion pieces. Use your discernment, form your own opinions.
Jess and Miah are salt of the earth people with big dreams. One of them is to build and run a homesteading learning center with both on the land learning and a place to learn home based skills. They outgrew their old farm, so they found a new place, bought it, packed up, moved and jumped right in. They have accomplished a lot in a short amount of time, hitting some bumps in the road along the way. One of the bumps was a purchased batch of compost that had herbicide in it. It has damaged almost everything that was planted in it. While this probably isn’t the first big lesson that they wanted to teach they have been researching remediation techniques. If your interested I invite you to follow them in their journey to clean up the mess that they were given.
She’s a sweetie pie and will bless you until next time. I do too.
