34.11.11 – 1504 – Log – Jackson
Kate is bored. She is designing a ‘space ship.’ When we first got the coordinates for Thearn and checked in on the wedding there were tons of them in the sky. She is trying to make one that matches most of them. The children see it as a giant shuttle, and the grand children can’t wait for all of us to be able to travel in one vehicle at the same time.

201.01.10 – 2000 – Log – Elbert
Lindsey died yesterday, Kate is the last of the original settlers. It reminds me that some day she will be gone. It’s an unpleasant thought. She has made arrangements for my care when that happens. She has asked that her DNA and records of it be destroyed after her death, she did it for the others too. She doesn’t want to be cloned.

I’m reaching the end of my days, I’ve asked Ryan to take over care of Elbert.

465.08.01 – 1604 – Log – Sandy
Elbert has been restless lately. He seems unhappy. Paul is ill, and isn’t expected to recover. He has had many good years. I guess I would be unhappy too if I had to watch everyone that I loved grow old and die.

465.11.18 – 2000 – Log – Elbert
I want to be done. The colony is a success, it has grown at a slow but steady rate. I see no reason why it won’t continue to do so.
I have devised a plan similar to how elders in older cultures would deal with death. Essentially they went off in the wilderness to die. I will do the same, I have the placed picked out. They will never find me. All I have to do when I get there is wait. My fluids need to be replaced every two days now. I have calculated that it will take about a day beyond that for the failure to begin. After it starts the cascade will only take a few hours. I suspect it will be like when I was tossed about and damaged. I am not looking forward to the process.

465.11.20 – 0712 – Log – Sandy
Elbert is missing, the group is frantic. If he used a ring device it isn’t in the system. His transport is gone, but the tracking beacon, communication device and speed restrictor are on the shop floor. We have no way to track him. We are currently using sky scanners to manually look for the transport.

Final log. Failure has begun. Cascade. Not as expected. Memories. Jumbled.

1000.01.01 – 0700 – Log – Trey
The founders journals unlock today at midday. We are having a party to celebrate. Everyone is anxious to see the Matriarch’s.

1000.01.02 – 2505 – Log – Trey
It’s amazing, they did come from another world. I always believed that it was just a story for children. It’s all in here: data, locations, Matriarch even built a device to travel there. It was in a cavern two continents over. We sent people to look for it. They brought it back. Its huge, all of us could fit in it. There is discussion about just dropping in to see them. There was a UFO sighting on the day that they went missing. A photo was in the data packet. The device looks just like those UFO’s. We would blend right in.

1000.01.11 – 2001 – Log – Tim
We have decided to go to see Thearn, but there is a concern that we don’t know enough about the culture should anything go wrong. Matt did some digging through the records and found DNA for one of the founders. Its odd, it was just that one, there should have been more. We are creating a clone to bring with us for a guide. We got lucky, all of the memory files seem to be there. Matt says the clone will be done in ten days, then the memory download will take half a day, then we can decant and activate it, err him. Everyone is excited.
