We are traveling, it’s dark. We never traveled at night before. Kate is asleep. Dakota is staying up with me. Kate asked her to keep an eye on my fluids. She has been changing them out every 18 hours. I have that feeling again that I get when something is bad going to happen.

We drove through the night. Its wild driving using night vision. Thankfully it was mostly prairie. We didn’t use riders either so that made it even trickier. We stopped for breakfast and a walk around at sun up. Nobody slept very well. Breakfast was from the fabricator. Neil fed and watered the chickens. Grace is taking over driving duty and we will use riders now that there is light. We will travel until mid-day. There looks to be a good place to stop, it has a river and trees for shade. We will rest there for a day or two and then move on.

We got a conference request from Harris. He wanted to know if the droids were with us. We let him know that they weren’t. I asked that they remember to take care of the chickens or suspend them if the droids are gone.

We only stayed a day at the last river. Dakota says that we are trying to outrun the bad energy. It does feel bad. We will land at the next river a little after the mid-day meal. We will eat from the fabricators while we are traveling.

It has been a long day, everyone is tired. To start at the beginning, we arrived at the selected location to cross the river and everyone got out to walk around and stretch. The group was just getting the bridge out when Dakota got a weird look on her face. She looked at Jackson and said ‘We are at the big river near the mountain.’ He got a confused look on his face and then told her to get people inside the RV’s. ‘Tell them inside, not on top, and close the doors and windows.’ We got everyone in and then ringed the RV’s to the second site. The decoys were ringed in; small drones were left to record and view the site. We only waited about five minutes and then the bomb hit. The decoys were obliterated. Jackson, Tyler and Levi suited up with the nano armor and armed themselves with modified tagging guns. This tag also forms a ring device. They ringed to the settlement, tagged everyone, and ringed back. In half an hour everyone was in the observatory; the would-be murderers were ringed into holding cells. The tagging group ringed back to the settlement and shut the computer down. Kate moved her sky scanners to the peninsula and looked for the droid vehicles with no luck. On the plus side there was no other residual smoke from a second bombing. When the tagging group came back, the settlement group was questioned.
It was found that Maxwell and Ruby were aware of the plans but didn’t participate, they also didn’t warn us. They didn’t think the others would actually do it. Harris, Ethan, Olivia and Gwen all actively participated. Maxwell and Ruby were found guilty of criminal negligence and the others were found guilty of multiple counts of attempted murder.
We left them in their cells and went out to the caravan.
Jackson and Tyler set up a broadcast unit with an automated message, requesting a status report and an offer of aid if needed. The message also briefly described what happened to us. They ringed the device to the initial droid landing spot. We also sent a pick up device for the decoy debris. Neil reminded us about the chickens. Kate and Dakota went to retrieve them. It surprised some people when they ringed back the whole chicken yard, coop, fence and all. Kate said that we could bring the gardens and greenhouses too when we decide where we are going to live.
The people that hadn’t been here before were curious about where we were and wandered about looking around. The observatory is at the top of an elevated rock structure that looks out over an ocean. It is a scenic area. They set camp when people settled down, Jackson and Tyler hooked up the water source for the building to the caravan. After they discussed what to do with the prisoners, and where we would live or if we would travel more. They decided to deal with ‘our psychopaths’ first and decide on a permanent home later. We don’t want to have to deal with them on a daily basis, but they do need to be contained somewhere, not at the original settlement, because the area is potentially still compromised with nahna. Kate suggested using an island. Dakota asked if we could use the lake house for a shelter. The group liked both ideas. It was decided to send a group to the settlement tomorrow to collect solid units and install ring devices on the lake house. Another group would review Kate’s sky scanner data for good places to put them. We are thinking somewhere subtropical. Not too hot, not too cold. We stopped for the evening meal, fed our guests, and watched the sun set. Everyone is settling in for the night. Kate changed my fluids.

The sun is just barely up; Kate grabbed Finn, Tyler and Dakota and disappeared for about five minutes. They had food when they came back. Becca whipped up a chore list like the pro that she is, people signed up and everybody got busy. It feels better to have a distraction.

We heard back from the droids, they are all fine. We have established the broadcast unit as a message relay point. I suspect they have left the peninsula.

We ringed solid units from the settlement today. The house was searched and we found almost two pounds of diamonds, Elana’s wedding band, a med kit, a helmet and a baby blanket in one of the upstairs closets. We put in some ring pads, just in case they need to be moved quickly.

A small group was sent to the settlement to go and pack the personal belongings of our ‘guests.’
The lake house has been cleaned and restocked. Cam and Tyler have put in some ring pads, just in case we need to move them. It has a food fabricator. The array, existing solid units and all of the below grade systems will be ringed with the house. A secondary storage area will be set up for the extra solid units. The island chosen is nice, it has lots of greenery and wildlife, but nothing that will eat you. The island is far enough away that we don’t have to worry about them sailing or swimming off. They really don’t deserve such a nice place.

My goodness, the stuff they fabricated! We had to set up a bigger landing pad for all the stuff. The settlement is creepy without anyone in it.

Our psychopaths were moved to their new home today. It took us two days to go through their personal belongings to weed out the stuff they shouldn’t have.
