10.03.07 – 1748 – Log – Jackson
Kate has made an addition to the rec center. She is calling it the museum. The first exhibit to go in ‘Charlotte’s rock, gem and mineral collection.’ When Charley ran out of room at her home Kate gave her space in the warehouse, she had her own room there for a while. They had it set up with shelves. I guess she out grew the room. Everything is nicely labeled what it is and where it was collected. Charlotte loves it and is happy to have more space now.
Ty donated his old wallet, they have it nicely displayed with the money in a plastic display that can be turned over. His license is there, credit cards and insurance cards. Everything has a nice blurb on what it is and what it was used for. It went in the ‘Old world’ section. Emmy knows that world but the rest of the children don’t and I’m glad.
Donations have trickled in. We only had what we were wearing at the time, but some of us brought back keepsakes when we went back for friends and family. Some of the newer people brought more stuff with them. A couple of people have donated art work. Even some of the refrigerator stuff of the children. Kate is planning to add her ‘practical science’ displays (that can be borrowed for future classes) and documentation of the projects. She wants to make it mostly education based, but she also asked us for journals that can be added after we pass on. She wants to record who we were and maybe some about where we came from. I think Dakota is working up the story of our arrival here, it’s going to be mostly digital. We have a lot of video from the gap trip. Charlotte was surprised to see herself that little. Most of the rest of the children were shocked to see Elbert. There is footage of him spinning for Charley and her just laughing infectiously. It’s the sweetest sound. I took a copy of it. There were questions about Savannah. She died of suffocation, we sent back bug drones to see how. She was murdered by Ethan. We saved her from him. Kate made a copy of her, sort of a copy. It was a robotic doll that had a biological skin. We replaced Savannah with the doll. We sent her back to Thearn, there was a vote. It was really close, it busted us up some for a while. Those that sent her away thought that it would be too big of a change in the time line. We brought people here, like that isn’t. We do keep an eye on her, she is doing really well.
10.04.03 – 2130 – Log – Zane
The older children have chosen the home building course as part of their class work. There are a bunch of adults that want to join them. I don’t know if Kate is going to have two separate classes or combine everybody together.
10.04.05 – 2230 – Log Camden
Kate is opening her home building class to adults! She showed me how to build my outbuilding with her set up, but it doesn’t have all the systems that a proper home does. There are a bunch of us that are going to join the class. There will probably be more adults than children. Everyone will get the chance to build a house with her builder machine.
The Great Experiment
