Jackson and Maci have taken a mini vacation at the beach house. Young Jack is visiting while they are gone. Kate is attempting to potty train him.
03.01.15 – 0800 – Log – Jackson
Jack got up last night and ran out of the house. When we caught up with him he was standing next to a tree giggling. When we asked what he was doing he said ‘Pee on a tree, poop in the potty.’
03.01.15 – 0831 – Log – Maci
I don’t know if I should shake Kate or gift her a tray of nutatos. Jack is sort of potty trained. Sort of. He poops inside and pees outside.
03.01.15 – 2000 – Log – Elbert
Kate has fabricated potty targets for young Jack and gave them to Jackson. Apparently he ‘took a year off’ of Macis life last night running outside to pee.
03.01.16 – 1721 – Log – Maci
There was giggling in the bathroom this morning. Both of them. They were standing there aiming at a paper target in the toilet bowl.
I think I’m pregnant again. I’ll see Kate about it tomorrow.
03.01.25 – 1546 – Log – Dakota
Kate has found a flock of sun conures. They are a bright, happy flock of noise. Grace has asked her to get her one. Kate asked if she was willing to hand rear a chick and Grace said she didn’t think she could do it. Kate asked Maxwell if he would do it, and he said he would be happy to. She will take an egg and hatch it herself, and then give the hatchling to Max to raise.
03.01.20 – 1816 – Log – Jackson
Kate has asked Maci if she would like raised garden beds. Maci is preggers and Kate wants her to be able to keep gardening without having to bend down so much. She sent us several bed types to choose from and a few layouts pick from. I think Maci will take her up on the offer.

We have nine children now, with another eight babies on the way. Its time to start looking at our data stores for child friendly content and educational items. There is so much stuff to go through. Elbert offered to help and has been shocked a couple of times now. We are trying to give the videos age range classifications, so we may put him on that task instead of general review.
03.02.12 – 1001 – Log – Jackson
Kate pulled Elbert off of the general review of the archives and has asked him to assign age ranges to videos based on his original specification data of us. It should be interesting to see how close he gets.
03.02.12 – 1541 – Log – Zane
Elbert got assigned to do age rating on the archives project. He binge watched some kids show from the 70’s. It was the weirdest thing, it really sucked him in. I forgot that he doesn’t know our old culture and has never watched tv. I half expected Kate to turn the tube off and send him to bed.
03.02.12 – 1645 – Log – Dakota
Elbert watched four episodes of little house on the prairie during the archive review and Kate made him stop. She told him he was limited to an hour of tv a day and sent him out to play. He went rock hunting with Charlotte.
03.02.21 – 2000 – Log – Elbert
The conure egg hatched today. I think some sneaky bird laid an egg in the conure nest. It has a beak and I suppose has the proper shape to be a bird, but it looks nothing like a conure. This bird is ugly. Maxwell was happy to take the little bird. Kate thinks he is bored. He recently requested a fishing setup, there is a lake on the island and he is sure it has fish in it.
03.02.12 – 2221 – Log – Zane
An unpaved mountain biking path has popped up along the bike path. I walked most of it on the first run. I like it. Its a challenging course. Went ass over tea kettle once, I’ll be wearing a nano suit next time. Cam patched me up. Alana looked at the stitches and just shook her head. She made me some of the fruit tea that I like though. We sipped it at the fire pit and watched the sun set. This is a beautiful place.
03.02.26 – 1640 – Log – Kate
Max has started calling the baby conure Little bird. They are very cute together. He is a doting parent.
03.02.29 – 2000 – Log – Elbert
Little bird is finally getting feathers. She isn’t ugly anymore.
03.02.13 – 2001 – Log – Ashley
Kate dropped off a pretty rock for Charlotte today. It is a creamy opaque pink color. Charlotte was very happy with it, she put it on her toy box shelf so that she can look at it when she wants to. She has over a dozen there already. We may have a dedicated shelf made just for the pretty rocks.
03.02.20 – 2000 – Log – Elbert
Kate has set the computer builder machines to work on the big oak in the yard. She is putting in a tree house. It will have a pulley elevator, a board ladder, a trapdoor, screened windows, six foot ceilings so most adults will be able to stand upright inside, a door that opens to a railed porch, and a little table and a couple of chairs. Jackson has already requested a camping night, he wants to bring young Jack. Both are excited about it. Maci is concerned about young Jack falling.
03.04.04 – 1800 – Log – Kate
Max has taught Little bird to fetch small items, and to ‘dance’ when he whistles a tune. The little girl is learning to fly and Max is so proud of her. I found a variant type of parakeets today I may get a couple of those for Grace instead of Little bird. They are just as colorful and happy and will keep each other company if she or Tyler doesn’t work with them.
03.05.04 – 2000 – Log – Dakota
Little bird is now Roo. Grace isn’t getting that bird; she and Max are best buddies, she gets along great with Barkley and Ruby too.
03.05.12 – 2000 – Log – Elbert
We received elevated stress alarms from Barkley and Roo (Kate monitors both animals) followed by a panic button call from Maxwell. This triggered an automatic ring/suspension event from the island. The whole village was alerted to report to the landing area. When we got there we saw Ruby on the ground, frantic, trying to get away from Ethan who had a knife and appeared to have been trying to cut her. Maxwell looked horrified, and was running towards Ruby and Ethan. Roo was dive-bombing Ethan and Barkley was launched mid-air and had a mouthful of Ethan’s knife wielding arm and his forelegs depressing Ethan’s midsection. If he hadn’t been suspended when he was Ethan would have been knocked down. Barkley has mass and muscle. There were also three wild parrots dive bombing Ethan.
Kurt brought Snarf, who growled and lunged at Ethan and had to be removed.
The parrots were inspected for injury, found to be undamaged, and then ringed back to the island. Next Maxwell was unsuspended, treated for a badly sprained ankle and questioned as to what happened. He told us that he had caught some fish and was bringing it to share when Roo took off from his shoulder and started screaming. He said that he didn’t see what was happening through the greenery at first and then he heard Ruby scream. He started running and saw Ethan there with a knife. It was his and had gone missing from his greenhouse the day before. Ethan had cut Ruby, Barkley had bounded from the side of the house where he does his business, and launched himself at Ethan. He said he pressed the panic button right as Barkley jumped. Ruby was released from suspension next and treated for a small cut on her arm. When she was asked what happened she said that she had just opened the door and let Barkley out to potty and she noticed that some of the plants in her garden looked to have been trampled. She said that she was walking over to check it out when all of a sudden Ethan and wild parrots appeared from behind some greenery. He had a knife. She said the birds were all over him and he was trying to swat them off and when he saw her he lunged at her. She stumbled back and fell, and then Roo was there screaming and attacking Ethan, and she heard Maxwell running towards them. Barkley bounded over her and launched himself at Ethan. Kate asked when the last time that she and Ethan had spoken was. She said that she hadn’t seen him since she moved to her cottage. She hadn’t seen anyone but Maxwell since then. She said that she never went to the lake house.
Ruby and Maxwell were taken to a darkened room and Roo was ringed in with them. It took a few moments for Maxwell to calm her, she was inspected and found to be unharmed. Barkley was ringed into the room next and only partially unsuspended until he got his bearings and was calm. He was also checked for injuries and found to be fine.
There was yelling about Barkley after that. Now that we are stationary having a doggo is desirable. Kate reminded them that he is a wolf, not a doggo, and nobody asked for a wolf. Jackson said that neither had Ruby. Kate returned that Ruby wanted protection, and Barkley does that. The group agreed. I believe him to be an excellent companion as well.
We turned our attention back to Ethan. He had cuts on his head, neck and arms, presumably from the birds and a broken arm from Barkley. He looked angry, a little crazed, and surprised.
He was unsuspended enough that he could talk and breathe on his own.
Jackson started questioning him and Dakota cleaned his wounds. His broken arm would be mended later. He asked Ethan why he was at Ruby’s cottage with a knife. Ethan said that he had planned to kill her and blame it on Maxwell, and he would have done it too if that wolf hadn’t been there, the wolf was a surprise. He knew about Roo having seen her before. When Jackson asked why he wanted to kill Ruby, Ethan didn’t answer. Jackson asked the rest of the group if they had any more questions for Ethan, and Kate said she did. She asked if he had pushed or arranged for Kurt’s accident on the mountain. Ethan actually smiled and said that he had noticed how close to the edge Kurt was and had nudged his snowshoe with the walking stick he was using. There were some gasps from the group. She asked if he removed the safety items from the sleds. He said that he had. She asked him if he had killed Savannah. He smiled again and said yes. There was noise, someone vomited, and I think Alana lunged at him. There is only a jumble of sounds and images until my fluids were replaced. Kate told me after that Alana did damage Ethan and had to be removed and sedated. She said that Ethan taunted everyone so much that she and Jackson decided to fully suspend him again. They locked him in the medical sled closet for his own protection.
Maxwell and Ruby were sent back to the island, the numbers in favor of keeping them here were almost half this time. Kate is a strong advocate for them. Grace saw Roo and wanted her. Kate told her no, and that she wasn’t even going to ask Maxwell. She said they are too well bonded; it would be cruel to separate them.
Ethan’s fate is undecided.
03.05.13 – 1500 – Log – Jackson
We had a meeting to discuss what should be done with Ethan. No one wants him locked up here. We conferenced the islanders and asked them what they would do. Ruby and Maxwell wanted an actual prison for him. The others wanted that or the death penalty. We ended the call and discussed it further. Someone said we could give him his own island. Everyone but Kate liked that idea. She actually said it would be kinder to just end him like we did the cattle. There is anger and hate in the group for him. We don’t like baby killers, the thought that he will suffer alone for the rest of his life feels about right.
03.05.14 – 1602 – Log – Maci
Ethan has been given a rough cabin with a table, chair, bed and survival ‘how to’ documentation. He is out in a field under a tree, still within sight of town. Tyler and Jack put up the nahna fence we used for the caravan around his shack. In twenty days he will be moved with the shelter, supplies, seeds, equipment and 160 days worth of food to an island about a hundred miles from the original prison island. He will not have power or running water, though he will be given a map of the island showing water sources.
03.05.14 – 2000 – Log – Elbert
Maxwell asked Kate if she would move his cottage closer to Ruby’s house. Ruby is okay with it, so plans are in progress and it is anticipated that he will be moved tomorrow.
03.05.17 – 1800 – Log – Tyler
Harris reported bugs covering the lake house. Apparently there were so many of them that they couldn’t leave. Maxwell said that there were some when he brought vegetables to the group, but they were all gone by the time he left. It was suggested at the evening meeting that we could put cameras in to find out if it is an ongoing problem or not. Some people were surprised that we didn’t already have cameras there.
03.05.19 – 2000 – Log – Jackson
So an interesting thing has been happening. Kate said she noticed a while ago, but said she didn’t think anyone would believe her so she didn’t say anything. To be fair if Ty hadn’t been here when I saw it I wouldn’t have told anyone either. We put cameras on the lake house, and twice now I have seen it covered with insects or birds and both have magically dissipated about twenty seconds before Max comes into the frame. After Max leaves they come back. Tyler suggested we could put a super sized dome type chicken/nahna fence around the house and part of the yard so they can get out for fresh air, or at least open the windows. Kate thinks that this only happens to Ethan, Harris, Gwen and Olivia. Kate reminded me that when Harris shot his foot, Lindsey and Brody were there, but heavily drugged. Drugs can affect consciousness. She said ‘remember Lindsey said that he shot at a mouse and that it got away with the rest of them?’ She thinks the mice or rats were real. She says that it’s like the world wants them gone. She thinks they are protected when the rest of us are around them. She said Lindsey, Brody, Ruby and Maxwell don’t have this problem. They ‘protected’ the settlement when we were gone from it. Kate said that she thinks the protection radius varies from person to person. Maxwell’s seems to be a couple hundred yards.
Ethan is in the field about seven hundred yards from Kate’s house and he hasn’t had problems. Maybe the quantity of us concentrated in one place has some effect too. He won’t last long when he gets to the island. I understand what Kate meant now about ending him while he was suspended. We will be responsible for his death either way.
03.05.20 – 1801 – Log – Maci
Ethan went to his island today, Jack was upset by it. Everyone is still in shock finding out Savannah’s death was intentional.
03.05.20 – 1302 – Log – Tyler
Kate has gifted Grace a couple of brightly colored parakeets. They are happy little critters. She set them up with a flight cage, a mess of toys, food and minerals and suggested that we let them out to have longer flights every day. She gave us millet on the stem and said that we could hand train them by sitting by the cage and hand feeding it to them. Grace is in love with them. They chatter and flirt with her.

Charlotte has two invisible friends now. Kenny has joined Sparkles.
03.06.09 – 1402 – Log – Dakota
I spoke with Kate about Kenny, she isn’t happy about him but wouldn’t go into details as to why. I’m not sure where the name came from. Nobody here has or had a Ken or Kenny in their life. I’ve asked around, as far as we know the name has never come up. Ashley and Ryan don’t let her look at the archives; they are putting it off for a future time when the ‘real schooling’ starts. I suspect even that exposure will be limited. All of her other rocks and imaginary friend names are commons words or names that she has heard before ‘Sparkles, Stripy, Blue.’
03.06.09 – 1800 – Log – Kate
I don’t like Kenny. Kenny needs to go.
03.06.12 – 2000 – Log – Elbert
Charlotte got in trouble today for going down to the creek without asking first. She said Kenny told her there was a pretty pebble. Kate asked her why she didn’t ask her mom first, and Charlotte told her that her mom was busy washing the floor and Kenny said they could go and get it and be back before anyone noticed. She didn’t find the pebble.

We had a little bit of color today as Maci says. The emergency ring system was used today. I was working with Kate in her workshop lair – Zane calls it that, cracks me up. Anyway a carbon fiber nano net and two pre-set ring devices ringed into the landing platform. This was followed by an automated message of please grab a side, step on a ring and wait for instruction. So we did. Tyler had put out a panic call saying Charlie had gotten a following sled free of his transport and was riding down the slope across from the community center. I answered the call ‘We’re on it.’ Knew something was up! I thought I heard one of those little spy drones earlier. And then we ringed to the slope. We had enough time to plant the net poles and activate it. It shot up 25’. Charlie hit a bump and she and the sled separated. She hit the center of the net perfectly. The sled hit the net off to Kate’s side. Tyler tore down the slope on his transport, when he was in place to catch her, we loosened the grab of the nanos and Charlie slid into his arms. He just about crushed her he hugged her so hard. Tyler hooked up sled, and Kate and I rode with the net and rings up to the top of the slope. Ashley and Ryan took one look at Tyler and grounded Charlotte until forever. There were tears all around. My niece needs an ankle bracelet. Kate asked her how she got the sled free from the transport. Charlie told her that Kenny told her how to do it. There is a five digit code and a physical release mechanism. They all have them. The codes are all different. Tyler looked frustrated and confused. I have to admit I’m a little spooked.
03.06.21 – 0905 – Log – Ashley
Jack brought home a pretty fish for Charlotte. Kate helped us set up an aquarium for it. Charlotte named it Dolly after Ryan’s milk cow when he was growing up. Kate is pretty sure it’s a boy fish.
03.06.25 – 1203 – Log – Maci
Charlie got in trouble for putting Dolly in a bucket and taking him outside to play. She needs a real buddy to play with, Jack is still too small.
03.06.30 – 1600 – Log – Elbert
We use the emergency ring system on the doorbell for the medical sled. It allows whoever is on call that day to arrive shortly before whoever is injured or sick. Kate was called to the med center and I went with her. Young Jack fell and split his knee open. Maci usually prefers to go with conventional healing, but this time chose nanos. Kate was just finishing up with Jack when Charlotte raced in. She had Dolly in a bucket of sudsy water. She pushed the bucket at Kate sloshing it everywhere and yelled ‘Sparkles said you could help.’ Kate took the used nano pack from Jack and wrapped Dolly in it, and then suspended him. She made a batch of liquid nanos and then put him in that. Jack, who had been quiet through all the work on his knee, started to cry. Kate asked him if he hurt. He shook his head no and pointed at Charlotte and said ‘it fewew off.’ Kate said ‘She never had one.’ ‘Charlotte my sweater is on the back of the chair please put it on.’ To Jack she said ‘who told you that?’ ‘Webi.’ ‘Levi was being silly, it won’t happen.’ She cleaned out the bucket and filled it with fresh water and put a fresh batch of nanos in it and told them to oxygenate it. She extracted them when they were done. She asked Charlotte why she took Dolly to the bath. ‘Kenny said it would be fun.’ ‘What did the pretty light say?’ ‘She said Dolly wouldn’t like it, but I didn’t think so, so I did it.’ When the nanos were done and extracted Dolly went into the bucket. Kate unsuspended him and he started swimming around. Kate handed Charlotte the bucket and told her ‘Sparkles was right, Dolly needs to live in his aquarium, go and put him back.’
03.06.30 – 2002 – Log – Ashley
Dolly has Charlotte’s three favorite pretty rocks on his aquarium lid, and Kate’s damp sweater is in the bathroom hamper. I’m afraid to ask why.
03.07.12 – 2002 – Log – Elbert
Ten days ago Dakota asked for Kate’s list of wolf dens, Kate gives Dakota whatever she wants so I gave her the list. She and Camden came back today and dropped a baby fox off for us to raise up and train for a companion for Charlotte. Kate thinks it’s a bad idea. I asked her why she didn’t say so. She said that pregnant women sometimes don’t think rationally. When I asked ‘What about Camden?’ She said ‘Same thing.’ Apparently male counterparts can experience hormonal fluctuations as a sympathetic response.
We call him Little Fox. He has an expressive little tail with a slight curl at the tip. Kate said that he shouldn’t have the curl and to please not mention it to anyone. She thinks he may have been altered and that some people in the group wouldn’t appreciate it. When I ask why they might have altered Little Fox Kate said that they were probably trying to give him domesticated traits so that he is more friendly and easier to manage.
03.09.10 – 2000 – Log – Elbert
Little Fox has pottied outside consistently for three days, mostly because Kate takes him out every hour. Kate is pleased though. Little Fox does it for the treats; he isn’t as motivated by praise as Barkley was. Kate has fabricated loads of toys for him, she uses them to distract him when he does something that we don’t want him to.
03.09.15 – 2000 – Log – Elbert
Kate called Little Fox ‘Hem’ the other day. When I mentioned it to Jackson he laughed hard, and said ‘Camden is feeling guilty that they dumped the little fellow off on you. Young Jack is still too little, and everyone is so desperate for Charlie to have a buddy, it just seemed like the best alternative.’
Kate has tripped over him three times today, but he can sit on command and stay for a short time, and he gnaws on people less now. He gets bored fast. She keeps him busy so that he stays out of trouble.
Tyler and Zane have come by to play with him (separately) and asked to be considered if it doesn’t work with Charlotte. Kate is relieved that there is interest in him. Jackson is also interested, but Maci has said no to a fox, she would rather wait for a doggo or even a wolf.
03.09.22 – 2000 – Log – Elbert
Ashley came by today alone to visit with Little Fox. She and Kate discussed what life would be like with him and what to expect. Everyone will have to learn how to manage him, but she will be the primary care and treat giver. She likes him and will bring Charlotte by to visit.
03.09.23 – 2000 – Log – Elbert
Ashley, Ryan, Jamie, Jacob and Charlotte came by today to see Little Fox. Playing ensued. Kate has fabricated outside toys that are child friendly too and the two of them played so hard a nap was required. He is gentle and calm with Jamie and Jacob, which surprised everyone. Ashley had been planning on using barriers for all of their safety. Jamie doesn’t always know his strength and Little Fox is still little. Charlotte has named him Dash because he dashes about.
Kate designed a backyard enclosure for Dash should he get too rowdy or destructive to be inside. It will have equipment that the children can play on as well. We set up the fabricator and the computer builder machine in the yard, it will be done tomorrow. We have started packing some of his things, he will be moving tomorrow. Kate has set him up with a bio monitor like she did with Barkley and Roo. Ashley and Ryan will use it as a safety precaution (it monitors for aggression and stress) and also a tracking device if needed. We will continue to work with him and hopefully his manners will continue to improve.
03.09.24 – 2000 – Log – Elbert
The house is quiet; Dash was much more vocal than Barkley, it’s different than when Barkley left. Kate says it’s because Barkley wanted to belong, Dash liked us but wanted to have fun and treats more. Dakota would say his energy is just different.
03.09.28 – 2000 – Log – Elbert
Kate has alerted the group of a storm that is growing out over the ocean. She is concerned that it will hit the island. She wants to fabricate and use weather technology that is available in the electronic files to redirect it or reduce it. The group is taking a wait and see approach.
03.09.29 – 2000 – Log – Elbert
Kate has updated the group on the storm that she is monitoring. It is now past the point of reducing, but can still be redirected. Jackson and Tyler agreed but no one else was interested.
03.09.30 – 2000 – Log – Elbert
Kate has visited the island and advised everyone that they may need to ring out in a day or two and to please pack travel bags. She put up new cameras on different parts of the island, and installed ring devices on Maxwell and Ruby’s homes and greenhouses.
03.09.31 – 1400 – Log – Elbert
Edie found the islanders in a makeshift holding cell in one of the empty rooms at the community center this morning. The rest of the town was aware of it moments later. Maxwell and Ruby were landed in a field close to our home. Kate has advised them not to go into town just yet. Barkley and Roo are having fun exploring.
03.09.31 – 1532 – Log – Zane
Kate ringed the islanders to our community center and people were upset. Edie went in to do food prep and found them and let the rest of us know. When we called Kate in she pulled up images of the storm at the island and it’s wild. Well we didn’t want to do anything about it when there was time to fix it. Jack asked her why she ringed Ruby and Maxwell’s homes and stuff and left the lake house. Kate said she wanted to see how well it would do in the storm. It’s fabricated. I predict it will be strong in the aspect that there are no seams to weaken the structure, but as soon as there is a hole the structure the rest of it will fail faster than a conventionally built structure. We have fabricated items, its good to know how they will withstand the elements.
03.09.32 – 1221 – Log – Zane
The island near the lake house is toast. Oddly enough Kate could have left Ruby and Maxwell’s stuff. That part of the island wasn’t touched. The storm went straight for the lake house and just stayed there. You can see the line of destruction from the shore straight to the house on the scans. The group is trying to decide what to do with the islanders. There is talk of building an enclosure here.
03.09.32 – 2000 – Log – Jackson
We ringed out collection devices to the island to pick up house debris. The stuff that can’t be salvaged will be deconstructed and reused at the new prison. Kate has come up with a few designs for structures and enclosures. We are testing out one of the fence materials, its interesting stuff. It’s transparent and hard to see until your right on top of it. We are pushing for the enclosure to be closer to the town, but I don’t think the vote will go that way. The majority of the group wants it way out on the prairie where the bike path goes out and loops back toward the village.
03.10.02 – 1800 – Log – Neil
We had a vote to select the prison and enclosure set up. The enclosure will be made with this transparent material, it’s really durable stuff. The buildings were more of a challenge. One of the selections has a game room and a pool. There was a protest over this. Kate reminded us that they had an entire island to roam before and now they will be more contained. We should provide more recreational activities. Ruby and Maxwell will be allowed to stay in the community and have been given permission to pick out permanent locations for their homes.
03.10.09 – 2000 – Log – Tyler
The prison was finished today, the furnishings and household items have been ringed in. It’s further away from town than I would have liked. The islanders have been installed and have already started fussing. The large furniture pieces have been placed. The smaller pieces and the other household items were left on temporary shelves under the covered area of the courtyard for them to put where they like.
It was an interesting build, Kate fabricated parts of it in her workshop and ringed the pieces to the build site. The fabricators on site integrated the pieces seamlessly. It went together quickly using all of the fabricators.
03.10.17 – 1235 – Log – Becca
The prison pool is dirty and they are fussing that someone needs to come and clean it. They were sent a reply that the cleaning tools and the instructions for them are in the shed and to do it themselves. They were given three days to get it done, and told that a drone would be sent to check.
03.10.21 – 1717 – Log – Grace
We have a pool now. Kate ringed it in yesterday. The group is excited about it. She put a temporary fence around it until we can get a nice one picked out.
03.10.21 – 1812 – Log – Maci
Edie had a good laugh over how we got our new pool. Our psychopaths didn’t want to clean it so we ringed it out. Now they are fussing that it is gone. It’s not big; there has been talk of replacing it with a larger one and adding a hot tub area. We could put in a picnic area with grills and the like too. The ideas are flowing. A lot of us liked the idea of a recreation room; the community center may get renovated or even get an addition.
03.10.21 – 2103 – Log – Camden
Part of the prison build included a pool and the inmates refused to clean it, so it was removed from their enclosure. Kate did the relocating and she did it in an unusual way. Nobody else seems to have noticed. It’s clean. Nobody here cleaned it. We have images of small amounts of algae and dirt when it was at the prison. She managed to clean it with the rings. If I had to guess, she ringed the water out first, but she only took the elemental water. She didn’t take the impurities. I never considered that the rings could be used to purify. She took the pool itself after that and again left anything that wasn’t a pool build item. So that was clean. The pool was ringed here and then the water almost immediately after. I’m going to poke Jack and Ty to see if they noticed and just didn’t say anything.

Story time has been added to the community chore list. It was voted on last night.
It started out with Kate reading to Charley every other day, and one day Ashley offered to babysit young Jack so that Maci and Jackson could attend a community harvest event together. He enjoyed it and a napped with Charley afterwards. Jack is not a regular napper, Kate will ‘borrow’ him occasionally so that Maci can get some rest. Maci was surprised by his napping and asked if Jack could participate in the next story time, she wanted to see if it was just a fluke. He napped again. Marley soon joined the group. Bartering was started in exchange for Ashley’s minding of the group and Kate’s reading time. Other readers were added and it became an everyday event, occasionally moving locations when Ashley and Ryan have conflicting plans. The plus side of it becoming a community endeavor is that now the time counts towards the vote eligibility. I suspect as the community grows a lunch may be added in before hand. Everybody loves Maci and Edie’s cooking.

Kate has invited Charlotte over for a ‘tea party.’ Dash is invited as well. Kate said that pull on twirly skirts will be provided and that she doesn’t need to wear nice clothes because they will just be covered up and probably get dirty anyway. Charlie is ecstatic.
03.10.30 – 2000 – Log – Elbert
Kate had a tea party with Charlotte and Dash, and asked that I join them as well. She had the little table set with little cups and saucers, tea made from blueberry juice, and some cookies. There were also play clothes set up for us. There were several elastic waist tulle twirly skirts for the girls and bow ties and top hats for me and Dash. Charlotte arrived while Kate was busy cutting some fruit. She was thrilled with the twirly skirts and picked one right away. She put one on Dash and myself before I could stop her, it got tangled in my continuous tracks. When Kate came out she chastised her for distressing me. I didn’t want to ruin the skirt and couldn’t move in it. She took it off and asked if I would wear the bow tie and top hat. I agreed. It looked nice. Dash also got a bow tie and top hat. Charlotte insisted that he wear the skirt, and after Kate adjusted it so that he could walk without tripping he did seem to enjoy it. He spun about in a circle and Charlotte laughed her infectious, addictive laugh. I could listen to it all day. Other than the skirt incident it was a pleasant time. Dash was on his best behavior.

Kate has worked up a set of graspers for me. She felt it was necessary after Charlotte immobilized me. She has written starter code for them and commissioned Camden to help me finish the programing of them. Camden has been considering building an out-building to add storage space. Kate is bartering the design and build for it. Part of the building will be below grade and function as a root cellar and the other part will house gardening equipment and have space for a ‘man cave.’ Apparently the shed is over full with toys, transports and all of the tools. With the new baby coming it will only get more cluttered. Both will be easier to keep tidy with more space.
We have made good progress with the programing, I am pleased. Camden feels they need a little more tweaking for finer motor functions, but I can do many basic things quite well with them. I played blocks with young Jack the other day and it was lovely.
